물소리가 높다 낮다 밝다 어둑하다 짙다 옅다 깊다 얕다 두껍다 얇다 거칠하다 부드럽다 촘촘하다 드문드문하다 고요하다 요란하다 쟁쟁하다 아늑하다......
고요하다와 쟁쟁하다가 가장 마음에 든다
일정한 리듬이 변주되고 되풀이되는 물소리의 화음은 보아서도 들리고 들어서도 보이겠지만
저 음표들을 속속들이 손바닥에 다 옮겨놓을 수는 없다
내 몸속 세포의 흐름이 저 물소리의 우주적 운율과 다르지 않아 또 몸에 귀 기울여야겠구나
이젠 몸을 떠나서 무엇을 할 수 있고 무엇을 알 수 있겠나 묻지 않는다
물소리가 최대치로 밝아올 때 내 귀가 틔었다
소리에도 빛과 어둠이 있다는 걸, 그늘이 있다는 걸 알게 되었을 때 빛과 어둠이 교차하는 지점에서
물소리는 몸의 실핏줄을 통과해 다른 음색과 리듬으로 미묘하게 바뀐다
내 게으른 궁리가 마침내 저 물소리의 음영화법을 파악하게 되었을 때
