가네코 후미코

― 자명고를 찢는다

둥둥 울음 우는 북소리

낙랑공주는 무슨 생각을 했을까

​

1923년 붉은 태양처럼 빛나던

일본 천황을 암살하려 한 혐의로 구속된

아나키스트 박열과 아내 가네코 후미코의

오래된 사진을 신문에서 발견했다

소파에서 한 쌍의 잉꼬처럼

박열의 품에 안긴 가네코 후미코는

행복한 표정으로 책을 읽고 있다

박열은 가네코의 가슴에 한 손을 얹은 채

느긋하게 다리를 꼬고 앉아있다

그녀가 읽는 책은 무엇일까?

마르크스의 자본론일까

아니면 하이쿠 시집일까

1926년 감옥 독방에서

가네코 후미코의 시체가 발견되었다

부드러운 그녀의 가슴은 돌처럼 굳어버렸고

텅 빈 눈동자와 일그러진 입술

자살이라는 소문이 있었지만

타살이라는 소문도 있었다

슬픈 시체

아버지의 나라를 배반하고

천황을 살해하려던 마녀의 몸에서

향긋한 벚꽃이 피어났다

가네코 후미코의 시체는

박열의 고향인 문경에 묻혀 있다

무덤에서 걸어 나온 후미코가

동경대학 도서관으로

걸어간다

국가, 법, 감옥, 사제, 재산, 계급이 사라진 세상!

가네코 후미코가 연분홍 기모노를 입고

허공을 나비처럼 날아다녔다

난 일본 제국의 아나키스트였어

아무도 날 검열할 수 없었어

자유의 날개를 가진

날 꺾을 수 없었지

사랑하는 박열의 품에 안겨

콧노래를 부르며 책을 읽던 그녀가

봄비를 맞으며

나의 서재를 다녀갔다

In 1923, the Emperor of Japan, the red sun

was assassinated in vain. The suspected assassins,

an anarchist Pak Yeol and his wife Ganeko Humiko

of their old picture I found in the newspaper.

Ganeko Humiko in Pak Yeol’s arms,

like lovebirds, sitting on the sofa,

reads a book with a happy face.

Pak Yeol sits at his ease with his legs crossed

and his hand on the Ganeko’s chest.

What was she reading?

Marx’s Das Kapital?

or Haiku poems?

In 1926, in a cell,

Ganeko Humiko’s dead body was found.

Her soft breasts hardened into stone,

her eyes empty and her lips twisted.

There were rumors that she committed suicide,

but murder was also believed.

A sad corpse.

the body of a witch,

who betrayed her father’s country

and attempted to kill the Emperor,

smelled sweet like cherry blossoms.

The dead body of Ganeko Humiko was buried

in Pak Yeol’s hometown, Mun-Kyung.

Coming out of her tomb,

Humiko walks

to the library of TokyoUniversity.

The world without country, law, prison, priest, possession, and class!

Ganeko Humiko flies like a butterfly

in a pale pink kimono.

I was the anarchist of Japanese empire.

No one could inspect me,

no one broke me, who has wings of freedom.

In her beloved Pak Yeol’s arms,

she, reading a book humming,

stopped by my study

at the April showers.
